Hibiscrub is an antimicrobial skin cleanser. You can buy it on Amazon and some pharmacies without a prescription. It disinfects the skin by removing surface bacteria. It is used for pre-operative surgical hand disinfection. The active ingredient is 4% chlorhexidine gluconate. Hibiscrub is effective against a wide range of bacteria, yeasts, fungi and viruses. When using Hibiscrub take special precaution to not get it into the eyes, nose or mouth. Consult your doctor before using this cleanser and don't use if you are breast feeding, pregnant or suffering from allergies. Hibiscrub and hibiclens are the same type of cleanser as they both contain 4% chlorhexidine gluconate as the active ingredient. Hibiscrub should not be used on open wounds. Hibiscrub comes in two sizes 250 ml and 500 ml. I always buy the larger bottle as I go through it quite fast.
How to use hibiscrub for acne
I personally use Hibiscrub to treat my body acne and to minimize body odor. I use Hibiscrub as a body wash when I shower and lather it on my back, chest and under my armpits. I have probably gone through 4 bottles now and haven't experienced any problems using Hibiscrub. I try to leave it on for 20 seconds but have left it on for up to 2 minutes. I have seen great results from using Hibiscrub, especially on my chest acne. If you want to use hibiscrub on your face be very careful to not get it into your eyes, mouth or nose. The bottle doesn't come with a pump so you have to buy that separately. I would suggest getting it as it makes it so much easier and more sanitary.
How to use Hibiscrub to get rid of body odor
After I started using Hibiscrub for my acne I noticed a reduction in my body odor. It makes sense since it is actually bacteria that makes your sweat smell and Hibiscrub kills the bacteria on your skin. If you struggle with strong body odor give Hibiscrub a try. To get rid of body odor I apply a pump or two to my armpit area when I shower and try to let it sit for 20 seconds to around 2 minutes.I sometimes use Hibiscrub on my feet to wash sweat and minimize bad foot odor. It is quite effective against smelly feet. Some people even use Hibiscrub for athlete's foot but I would suggest you try an anti fungal remedy as well.
