How to Grow Eyebrows Longer & Thicker

You might have over plucked your eyebrows or simply lack the ability to grow the thick full eyebrows you see on Cara Delevingne and Lily Collins and want a little help.

My eyebrows have always been sparse and patchy but I have made great improvements growing them back in only a few months using home remedies and oils. My favorite oil is Jamaican black castor oil, it it a quite thick oil so I dilute it with other oils like argan oil, coconut oil or extra virgin olive oil.

Recipe to Grow Eyebrows Longer & Thicker

Mix together Jamaican black castor oil, 100% argan oil, coconut oil (or any oil you like) in a small container. Stir the mix and apply it to your eyebrows using a clean mascara wand. I apply the mix about an hour before bed. You only need a little bit of the mixture and make sure to coat the root area of your brow hairs. In the morning I wipe the residue off and apply Vaseline to tame my brows. Every month I dye my eyebrows with a semi permanent eyebrow dye kit. Don’t pluck the stray hairs that grow below and above your brow area. Eventually they will fill in and your brows will look fuller.

This organic castor oil from Sunny Isle is thick and rich. It has a higher ash content that most of the castor oils on the marked which makes it much more effective. It has a slight smell but nothing bothersome. It also contains Rosemary, lavender and Ylang Ylang essential oils to stimulate hair growth. It can be used alone or mixed with other oils or in hair products.

My Eyebrow Growth Journey

Above is a recent picture of my eyebrows. You can see all the stray hairs sprouting above and below my main eyebrow area. I haven't plucked my eyebrows (except in the middle to avoid a mono-brow) since I started growing them so you may think they look a little messy. Eventually they will fill in and look full and thick. I only use a little eye shadow in the ends to fill in the sparse areas and dye them with an eyebrow dye kit once a month.

In the morning I like to apply vaseline to tame my eyebrows instead of using brow gels which tend to make the eyebrow hair brittle and dry. I also take 5000 mcg Biotin pills to grow my hair. If you really need help growing back your eyebrows you can try Rogaine 5%. You can even try using Latisse for your eyebrows if you already have a prescription for your eyelashes.
